What this week's report says

CautionPositioning is stretched: leveraged funds are more net short than in 88% of the past 3 years. Crowded shorts raise squeeze risk — a caution flag, not a buy signal on its own.

Leveraged funds added 95 long contracts and added 5,819 short contracts in Japanese Yen this week — a net bearish shift of −5,724 contracts. They remain net short overall.

Open interest rose alongside the positioning change — fresh money is entering, which typically strengthens the move rather than short-covering.
